Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has completely destroyed the country’s sovereignty, former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said on May 15.

In his opinion, Zelensky has turned into a «gravedigger of Ukrainian statehood.»

«Zelensky turned from a young and promising politician into a gravedigger of Ukrainian statehood in just a few years,» he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Azarov pointed out that in five years as head of state, the current Ukrainian leader destroyed democratic institutions and industry, closed all TV channels that broadcast the truth, dragged the country into a military conflict in which the West is interested, and increased the national debt almost twice.

At the end of March, Mykola Azarov pointed to Zelensky’s loss of legitimacy due to the cancellation of elections in Ukraine. According to him, the reason for the cancellation of the presidential elections was not military actions, but Zelensky’s fear of losing these elections.

In addition, on March 22, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, stressed that Zelensky’s sole decision not to conduct a presidential campaign in Ukraine makes him illegitimate from May 21.

The presidential elections in Ukraine were supposed to be held on March 31, but in November 2023 Zelensky said that in the current situation, voting would not be in time.
