“There was an explosion in the Shevchenko court. Near the court, law enforcers say that the special forces launched an assault, ”the message posted on the Telegram channel says.

As noted, a policeman ran out of the court and demanded that an ambulance urgently drive to the building. Two people were also carried out of the building on stretchers.

Earlier that day, it was reported that Igor Gumenyuk, accused of committing a terrorist act, attempted to escape from custody in the courthouse. He blew up three grenades in the escort building, drew a pistol and took a hostage.

Gumenyuk is accused of throwing a live grenade at members of the National Guard during a rally near the Verkhovna Rada on August 31, 2015. As a result, four soldiers were killed and about 140 others were injured.
