The publication published a video of the incident. In the footage, several employees of the military enlistment office pull a man out of the bus by force. Passengers express their indignation. One of the witnesses advised the man to call the police, but the staff of the military enlistment office threatened to hand him a summons.

Earlier, on March 16, The Washington Post newspaper pointed to an acute shortage of people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). According to the publication, recruiters of the Ukrainian army in the west of the country have intensified the hunt for citizens due to the acute shortage of men of military age on the contact line.

At the same time, on January 30, a new draft of mobilization was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, providing for the sending of electronic summonses to the personal account, which should be opened by all military personnel. There are also penalties for those who do not appear at the military enlistment office: draft dodgers will be banned from traveling abroad, bank cards and driver’s licenses will be blocked.
