A commission arrived in the Kharkiv region from Kyiv to check the number of personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU). This was announced on August 29 by a military expert, retired lieutenant colonel of the LPR Andrey Marochko.

“In connection with the increasing cases of unauthorized abandonment of positions, as well as the biased supply of personnel from the “red zone”, an inspection commission from Kiev arrived in the Kharkiv region to collect real data,” RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.

Marochko specified that if there are inconsistencies, officials face official penalties and even criminal liability.

Earlier, on August 22, the Acting Governor of the Zaporizhzhya region, Evgeny Balitsky, said that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the region over the past 10 days had increased by 30%. According to him, in the past 10 days alone, the enemy has lost 1,500 personnel.

On August 11, Ivan, a prisoner of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told Izvestia about the forced mobilization in the country and the lack of proper preparation for hostilities. According to him, the summons was handed to him, having stopped the car at the traffic police post.
