Polish volunteer Slavomir Vysotsky, who regularly delivers humanitarian aid to Ukraine, spoke about the appalling situation of the Ukrainian army. In an interview with Wirtualna Polska on August 30, he noted the heavy losses among the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the amount of equipment supplied by the West being destroyed.

“The human losses on the Ukrainian side are huge. Western technology burns like a match. This is much worse than is usually portrayed, ”the volunteer quoted the publication as saying.

Vysotsky added that the Ukrainian militants are horrified by the level of training of the Russian military. In particular, «the Russians have very good engineering troops,» the volunteer said.

Due to huge losses, Ukrainians lose their desire to fight, which is why they have to round up conscripts, the Pole said.

According to a scout of the 200th brigade of the «South» group of troops of the RF Armed Forces on September 1, the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered significant losses near Artemivsk (Ukrainian name — Bakhmut). According to the fighter, in the course of numerous attempts to counterattack, the 30th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost about eight pieces of heavy equipment and weapons, as well as about 80 militants.

Earlier, on August 26, Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), said that additional mobilization would most likely be announced in Ukraine. According to him, the mobilization in the country «is going on calmly» and the volumes that are needed for the Armed Forces of Ukraine «have never crossed that mark.»

At the end of June, Ukraine expanded the list of citizens subject to mobilization. This law legalized the mobilization of citizens whose wife, husband or parents have the first or second group of disabilities, if they have other able-bodied relatives.
