The Security Service of Ukraine announced the detention of a former employee of the department, who called on the Ukrainian military to desert. This was reported on March 15 in the Telegram channel of the SBU.
“The SBU detained a former employee of one of the structural divisions of the special services, who called on Ukrainian defenders to desert,” the report says.
The accused left the service at the beginning of 2022 and moved to one of the European countries. The man did not stop communicating with his former colleagues, he called them and called for desertion. In case of refusal, he threatened to distribute their personal data.
The former SBU officer was detained in March 2023 while crossing the state border of Ukraine. He is suspected of committing «high treason» and «desertion» under the relevant articles of the country’s Criminal Code.
Earlier in March, the SBU detained the former director of the Antonov enterprise, Sergei Bychkov. Together with him, the head of security, A. Netesov, was also arrested. They are suspected of refusing to build fortifications on the territory of the Gostomel airport, which led to the capture of the airfield and the destruction of the An-225 Mriya aircraft.
The defendants have been arrested.
