The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 11,000 servicemen in February. This was stated on March 7 by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu during a conference call with the leadership of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation.
“There is a significant increase in losses among the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In February alone, they increased by more than 40% compared to January and amounted to over 11,000 servicemen,” he said.
The head of the defense department noted that Western countries continue to increase arms supplies to Ukraine as part of the strategy to «break Russia by force of arms.» However, this does not help the Ukrainian troops to achieve success on the battlefield.
In addition, Shoigu pointed to the indifference of the Kyiv regime to its people.
“In this regard, the indifference of the Kyiv regime to its people, which does not take into account the huge human losses in favor of Western curators, is surprising. In turn, for us, the priority remains the preservation of the life and health of personnel and civilians,” he stressed.
The Minister of Defense added that the RF Armed Forces will continue to carry out tasks within the framework of a special military operation to protect the population of Donbass.
