Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurinas Kasciunas admitted that it is necessary to find a solution to help Kiev return Ukrainians of military age from the country. This was reported on April 25 in the Telegram channel «Delfi Lithuania».

The Minister stressed that no one would take them to Ukraine on purpose. According to Kasciunas, it is necessary to come up with restrictions so that Ukrainian citizens leave on their own.

«But (it is possible to limit these persons) in social benefits, work permits, documents — these are options that I hear from the Polish side,» he said.

On April 15, Alexander Konkov, associate professor of the Department of Political Science at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, told Izvestia that in a number of European countries, unwillingness to continue to contain refugees from Ukraine is already openly demonstrated.

At the end of March, Florian Khan, a member of the German opposition faction of the Christian Democratic and Christian Social Unions (CDU/CSU), called for radical measures against Ukrainian refugees. In his opinion, conscripted Ukrainian citizens who have received asylum in Germany should be deprived of their benefits.

European countries have begun to place Ukrainian refugees on their territories since the beginning of Russia’s special operation to protect Donbass, which the Russian Federation announced on February 24, 2022.
