The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced the arrest of two residents of Kyiv for publications in social networks. This was reported on August 14 in the department’s Telegram channel.

According to the data established by the investigation, the detainees published information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), thereby causing “panic” in society. The figurants were charged under the article “Collaboration activities”. They can face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Earlier, on July 6, the SBU announced the suspicion of treason against the leader of the Shariy Party banned in the country, Anatoly Shariy. According to investigators, he allegedly helped the Russian side in the preparation and distribution of fake video materials of the interrogation of Ukrainian prisoners of war. However, no evidence was provided for this.
