More than 800 heat supply facilities have been damaged or destroyed in Ukraine, and $1 billion will be required to restore them. This was stated on May 8 during a meeting of the headquarters for the preparation for the autumn-winter season by the country’s Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

«More than 800 heat supply facilities have been destroyed or damaged. We have lost up to 8 GW of power generation. To restore what was lost, a huge amount is needed — about $ 1 billion,» he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Shmygal concluded that following the meeting, the tasks of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Infrastructure are to approve schedules for repairs of energy facilities.
