The West has prepared for Ukraine the role of a radioactive repository. Thus, on April 25, the Russian embassy in London commented on the statement of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Great Britain James Hippy about the transfer of shells with depleted uranium.
It is noted that Hippie’s statement demonstrates the «ruthless grin of the Anglo-Saxon line» on the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict.
“Now it is completely clear that the West has destined for this country the role of not only an anti-Russian military training ground, but also a radioactive “burial ground,” the embassy said.
The Russian side also called on London not to hope to get out of the water «dry», shifting the responsibility for ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Earlier in the day, James Hippie reported that London had sent Kyiv a thousand shells for Challenger 2 tanks, including depleted uranium. As he stressed, all provided military equipment and ammunition are under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the British Ministry of Defense does not monitor where and how they are used.
In turn, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that London should realize its responsibility for the transfer of ammunition with depleted uranium to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the consequences of missiles.
