The Government of Ukraine has approved a decree prohibiting officials from traveling abroad without valid reasons. This was announced on January 27 by the Prime Minister of the country Denis Shmygal.

Shmygal recalled that a corresponding decision of the National Security and Defense Council was made on this matter, and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky issued his decree.

Earlier this day, the media learned that the chairman of the Batkivshchyna faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Yulia Tymoshenko, held New Year’s holidays in Dubai. The politician spent time at the villa of the five-star Kempinski Hotel on the bulk island of Palm Jumeirah.

Before that, on January 26, deputy Nikolay Tishchenko was expelled from the Servant of the People party after his trip to Thailand. It was reported that he was supposed to hold a meeting with representatives of the diaspora, but the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said that he did not sign the order on Tishchenko’s business trip.
