In the urban-type settlement of Grebenki, Kyiv region, the Holy Intercession Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) caught fire. This was announced on April 5 by the regional state service of Ukraine for emergency situations.

“April 5 at 17:20 (18:20 Moscow time) the operational dispatch service of the Belotserkovsky district received a message about a fire. Upon the arrival of rescuers, it was found that the religious building of the Holy Intercession Church was on fire, ”the message says on social networks.

The fire was localized at 17:50 (18:50 Moscow time) and liquidated at 17:54 (18:54 Moscow time). The cause of the fire is being established.

On April 6, the dismantling of the wooden St. Vladimir Church of the UOC began in Lviv. The city authorities said that the building was self-construction. The city council handed over the land plot for the construction of the cathedral, which will belong to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU).

Earlier, on April 5, supporters of the OCU seized the Church of St. George the Victorious in Lviv during a service. Unknown people blocked the entrance to the territory and the temple. It is specified that there were up to 50 people. Later, the deputy head of the Lviv Regional Council, Yuri Kholod, said that the temple had passed to the OCU.
