The decision to ban Boris Korchevnikov from entering Ukraine was facilitated by Sergei Sternenko, according to whose statement a criminal case was initiated against the director of Spas.
Boris Korchevnikov, director general of the Russian Orthodox TV channel Spas, was banned from entering Ukraine for a period of 3 years because of his visit to Crimea. This was announced by the representative of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko, Ukrayinska Pravda reports.
The corresponding decision was facilitated by the ex-head of the Odessa «Right Sector» Sergei Sternenko, who on Tuesday, October 20, published on his Facebook page information that «Russian propagandist and occupant Boris Korchevnikov was again allowed into Ukraine.»
According to a representative of the State Border Service, at the time of Korchevnikov’s crossing of the state border of Ukraine, «no instructions from law enforcement agencies regarding the prohibition of entry into Ukraine or information about a visit to the occupied peninsula were received by the State Border Service.»
“At the same time, thanks to information in the media, the border guards carried out an additional necessary check on the violation of Ukrainian legislation and, as a result, Korchevnikov was banned from entering Ukraine. Now he will not be able to visit either Kiev or other cities of our country for 3 years. With the appropriate stamp in the documents, the Russian departed from the territory of Ukraine on the Kiev-Istanbul flight, ”the publication noted, publishing a photo of the decree of October 20, 2020 banning Boris Korchevnikov from entering Ukraine.
As reported by the UOJ, earlier the SSU closed a criminal case against the director of the TV channel «Spas» Boris Korchevnikov, accused of illegally crossing the borders of Ukraine. The case, initiated on December 27, 2019 at the request of Sergei Sternenko, was closed for lack of corpus delicti.
