An infrastructure facility and power transmission lines were damaged as a result of explosions in the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region in Ukraine. This was announced on Wednesday, November 1, by the head of the regional military administration Sergey Lysak.

«The district center and the Manganese community were hit <…> the tillers and power lines were beaten,» he said in his Telegram channel.

The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet commented on this information.

The day before, local authorities reported that an infrastructure facility was damaged in the Krasnogrigoryevsky district of the region. The type of the object or its functions were not reported.

Earlier, on October 27, the head of the regional council of the region Nikolay Lukashuk also reported damage to the power line. Meanwhile, Lysak wrote about the damage caused by explosions to 20 solar panels in the city of Nikopol in the region.

Russian servicemen have been attacking critical Ukrainian infrastructure facilities since October 10 last year. As Russian President Vladimir Putin noted at the time, this was a response to the terrorist actions of the Kiev regime, in particular, on the Crimean Bridge.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision to hold it was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
