The UOC clarified that a religious community can provide any information about itself only after a written request from a representative of a state authority.

Due to the fact that reports of illegal collection of information about religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church are being received from various regions of Ukraine, Archpriest Alexander Bakhov, head of the Legal Department of the UOC, published a special explanation on his Facebook page.

«Priests call from the regions and report that on the instructions of regional administrations they collect information about religious communities of the UOC (documents for the temple, land plot, the number of priests, whether the charter was changed, etc.)!

In this regard, we draw your attention to the fact that the decision to provide or not provide any information about a religious community can be made only after a written request from a representative of a state authority to the diocese or religious community! » the head of the Legal Department of the UOC emphasized.
