On Monday, March 6, a bill was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the confiscation of cars for driving under the influence of alcohol and the transfer of vehicles for the needs of the army.

“The purpose of the bill is to improve road safety, reduce the number of traffic accidents by strengthening responsibility for driving while intoxicated and, as a result, achieving a fair approach in providing cars to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the explanatory note to the bill No. 9076, which published on the website of the country’s parliament.

It provides for an increase in the amount of the fine and the introduction of confiscation of the vehicle for repeated driving during the year by persons in a state of alcohol, drugs and other intoxication.

On March 3, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the People’s Militia of the LPR Andrey Marochko informed about the shortage of food in the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kremennaya. According to him, the Ukrainian military began to run out of individual food rations.

On February 26, Marochko said that the Ukrainian military did not have enough special equipment to evacuate the wounded. Due to the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine often use equipment that is not suitable for evacuating the wounded, losses in their ranks are growing, the lieutenant colonel explained.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
